How It Works

From Day 1 to Day 60, here’s what the process looks like.

Day 1 – 3: Impound

Vehicle is ordered into impound from PD or PPI

Days 3-5 Search

Search completed to find vehicle interested parties (varies by state)

Days 5 – 10: Letters

Letters are mailed (USPS) to parties indicating pickup towing companies right to lien

Days 10-30: Pick Up

Interested party picks up the impounded vehicle and pays associated fees

Day 30: Packet

Company prints copy of search, letters and state forms needed to apply for title

Day 60: Sale/Auction

If the vehicle remains unclaimed, vehicle can be sold private or in an auction (varies by state)
